The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) has obtained grant funding through the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) to update existing Hazard Mitigation Plans (HMP's) for California University of Pennsylvania. Pre-disaster planning reduces long-term risk to people and property from natural and human-made hazards.

  • Risk Assessment Workshop Set for February 6th! Cal U invites all students, faculty, and staff to share your suggestions for how the University can reduce the risk from natural and man-made hazards.  The CalU Hazard Mitigation Plan will serve as the blueprint for reducing property damage and saving lives from the effects of future natural and man-made hazards.
